As a self-taught and mixed-race contemporary artist, my artwork is a fusion of bold colours, nature and human emotions.

Art is a strong pillar in my life since childhood. Growing surrounded by art and in a multi-cultural environment, art has been an intriging journey of self-exploration and discovery to find my own voice. Having been able to appreciate other cultures from a young age, I embraced this thematic by travelling through human emotions. While my professional background is scientific, creation has always been a sanctuary to escape from routine and explore diverse horizons. Leaving behind logic to embrace daydreaming to explore humanity and nature, capture beauty and emotions.

My artwork is a full sensory experience celebrating cultures, individuality, and imperfections using acrylic as liquid fire, oil as structured emotion and watercolour as ethereal beauty. In addition to painting, I like to integrate other materials and textures into my art practice, such a wool in my disc series. The use of wool makes my art accessible through the touch rather than being limited to its visual aspect. This media approaches the colour theory from a completely new angle and plays with the surrounding light.

My aim is encouraging introspective reflection and mind-travel through human identity, emotions, culture and our link to nature. Taking my audience on a journey, by provocatively shaking off our beliefs and inducing self-reflection on the human condition.
